‘And if travel is like love, it is, in the end, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, in dimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.’ -Pico Iyer

Martha & Antony's story:
They first stepped in Iceland in 2016. Both curious and adventurous spirits, we decided to camp for a week together for the first time - in a tent! One of the first days included an ambitious hike up Glymur, one of Iceland’s highest waterfalls. Along the 3hr+ hike, Anthony spotted a secluded location at the edge of a cliff with the grand waterfall as a backdrop - this was THE spot. As I sat to rest my legs, Anthony brought out a little journal filled with good thoughts, lessons and dreams of us. As he was turning the final page, I peeked and saw “Will you marry me?” before he could say anything. He almost accidentally threw the journal over the cliff because I beat him to the punch but he went down on one knee to propose. I said, “YES”! The following days we got to experience Iceland’s fluctuating weather and lots of cold rain but our happiness kept us warm. Of all the places, Iceland will always be one of the most happiest because we have so many cherished memories there.
